These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Childs Enterprises LLC operating as Childs Laundry.
By scheduling pickup or delivery services with Childs Laundry, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Eligibility
Customers must be at least 18 years of age to schedule or purchase services through Childs Laundry.
General Service Agreement
Childs Laundry provides residential wash, dry, and fold laundry services with pickup and delivery within our service area.
Submitting a pickup request does not guarantee scheduling availability. Requests are reviewed and approved based on scheduling capacity and service availability.
By submitting an order, the customer confirms they are authorized to submit the items for service and agree to all policies listed below.
Pricing & Minimum Orders
Standard laundry service is charged at $1.75 per pound with a $35 minimum order charge.
Oversized items, specialty items, add-ons, delivery fees, and heavily soiled items may result in additional charges.
Prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
Payment Policy
Payment is due prior to delivery unless otherwise approved by Childs Laundry.
Accepted payment methods may include electronic payment options approved by Childs Enterprises LLC.
Laundry will not be returned until payment has been made in full.
Customers may be required to place a valid payment method on file prior to service approval.
Pickup & Delivery
Customers are responsible for ensuring laundry is securely bagged, labeled if necessary, and accessible at the scheduled pickup time.
Pickup and delivery times are estimated and subject to scheduling availability, traffic, weather, and operational delays.
Standard turnaround time is approximately 48 hours after pickup unless otherwise discussed.
Requests submitted later in the day may be scheduled for the following business day.
Cancellation & Failed Pickup Policy
If a customer cancels service after a driver is already en route to the pickup location, a $10 cancellation fee may apply.
Customers are responsible for ensuring laundry is ready and accessible at the scheduled pickup time.
If Childs Laundry arrives for pickup and the laundry is unavailable, inaccessible, or the customer cannot be reached after reasonable contact attempts including knocking, calling, or texting, a $10 failed pickup fee may apply.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are required to check all pockets before submitting laundry.
Childs Laundry does not perform pocket checks and is not responsible for items left in pockets, including but not limited to:
Money
Jewelry
Pens
Electronics
Cosmetics
Sharp objects
Customers may be held financially responsible for damage caused to machines or other laundry due to prohibited or forgotten items left in pockets.
Unless otherwise requested or clearly labeled for special handling, all laundry items are washed in cold water and dried using medium heat settings.
Items requiring special handling must be clearly separated and labeled before pickup.
Items requested to be hang-dried or air-dried must be placed in a separate bag and identified in the special instructions.
Items requiring delicate wash or dry settings should be separated from standard laundry and clearly identified.
Laundry requested to remain separated by family member, room, or category must be bagged and labeled accordingly prior to pickup.
If specific items should be hung instead of folded, hangers must be provided and the requested garments clearly identified.
Oversized Items & Pillows
Oversized items include large household fabrics or bulky items requiring additional washer/dryer space or separate processing, including but not limited to comforters, blankets, mattress covers, sleeping bags, and large quilts.
Oversized items are charged at $10 per item in addition to the standard per-pound laundry rate.
Pillows are charged at $5 per pillow in addition to the standard per-pound laundry rate, with a maximum of 2 pillows per load.
Due to the nature of pillow materials and filling, Childs Laundry is not responsible for pillows that lose shape, firmness, or form during the washing or drying process.
Damaged or Lost Items
While every effort is made to properly care for all items, laundry is processed at the customer’s own risk.
Childs Laundry is not responsible for:
Normal wear and tear
Shrinkage
Color bleeding
Fading
Damage caused by manufacturer defects
Pre-existing damage
Damage resulting from improper labeling or handling instructions not provided before service
Loose buttons, weak seams, or delicate fabric failure during normal washing and drying
In the event Childs Laundry is found responsible for damage or loss, reimbursement will be limited to the item’s current fair market value, taking into consideration age, condition, and normal wear.
Receipts or proof of value may be requested for claim review.
Claims for damaged or missing items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
Refused Items
Childs Laundry reserves the right to refuse service for items that contain:
Excessive pet hair
Bodily fluids
Mold
Pest infestations
Hazardous chemicals
Excessive dirt, sand, or grease
Additional fees may apply for heavily soiled items or items requiring excessive cleaning time.
Storage & Unclaimed Laundry
Customers must arrange payment and delivery within 24 hours of completion notification.
Laundry left unpaid or unclaimed may incur a $10 per day storage fee.
Items left unclaimed for more than 10 days may be donated, discarded, or otherwise disposed of at the discretion of Childs Enterprises LLC.
Satisfaction Policy
If there is an issue with your order, customers must notify Childs Laundry within 24 hours of delivery so reasonable efforts can be made to address the concern.
Agreement to Terms
By scheduling service with Childs Laundry, the customer acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
